Mpilonhle Board Member Named Minister of Health

Dr. Dhlomo has a long history of being committed to health equity and a holistic approach to health. A freedom fighter who is a Robben Island veteran, Dr. Dhlomo has been a practicing physician as well as having served in public health positions for the South African Armed Forces and the city of Durban.
Dr. Dhlomo was crucial in helping get Mpilonhle off the ground by helping design the program, the structure of the organization, and helping set its direction.
With his new responsibilities Dr. Dhlomo will be stepping down as a Board Member. We are greatly appreciative of the support that he has given Mpilonhle these past three years. We look forward to his continuing support and guidance as he moves into his new position, and wish him well in his new and challenging position.
We are sure that he will bring a new perspective and new energy in ensuring that the Department of Health recommits to ensuring that all citizens of the Province get the best and most empathetic care possible.
